Role Overview

CLIENT is hiring an Accounting Associate to support the day-to-day financial operations of a growing waterfront hospitality platform. This role sits at the center of cash management revenue tracking and vendor operations working directly with the Financial Controller to ensure accuracy timeliness and transparency across all financial activity.

This is an entry-level role built for someone who is hungry to grow. You will gain hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions working with real transaction volume across payment processors booking platforms and vendor systems. The right person will treat this as a launchpad not a landing spot and will earn expanded responsibility as they demonstrate ownership and reliability.

What Youll Do

Post daily cash receipts from Stripe merchant accounts ensuring accurate and timely recording of all incoming revenue.
Post daily credit card purchases across multiple accounts and reconcile credit card activity on a regular cadence.
Reconcile cash accounts daily and post all reconciling transactions to maintain clean audit-ready records.
Post vendor invoices into and support the accounts payable workflow from receipt through payment.
Assist with reconciling deferred revenue ensuring proper recognition timing aligned with booking and guest stay activity.
Reconcile and post Enso upsell transactions and maintain revenue recognition tracking in Excel.
Support month-end balance sheet reconciliations and assist with financial reporting deliverables.
Maintain organized accurate documentation across all accounting systems and flag discrepancies proactively

CLIENT Technology Stack

You will work across the following systems daily. Prior experience with any of these platforms is a plus but not required.

Sage Intacct (general ledger and financial reporting)
Stripe (payment processing and cash receipts)
(accounts payable and vendor management)
HostAway (property management and booking data)
Enso (guest upsell transactions and revenue tracking)
Airbnb (booking platform and channel management)

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days

Daily cash receipt and credit card posting routines are running consistently with minimal errors and no backlog.
Cash account reconciliations are current accurate and completed on schedule each day.
Vendor invoices flow through without delays and the accounts payable process runs smoothly.
Enso upsell reconciliation and revenue tracking are maintained in Excel with clear organized documentation.
Month-end close support is reliable with balance sheet reconciliations completed accurately and on time.
The Financial Controller has increased confidence in the accuracy and timeliness of daily financial operations.

Background

This is an entry-level role and we are open on background. Ideal experience may include:

A degree in accounting finance or a related field (completed or in progress)
Internship or prior work experience in bookkeeping accounting or financial operations
Exposure to ERP systems payment platforms or property management software
Experience working in hospitality real estate or startup environments
Direct experience in all areas is not required. Reliability attention to detail and a genuine hunger to learn and grow matter more.
