We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our this role you will collaborate with leadership accountants and clients to deliver high-quality accounting services. The position combines hands-on accounting work client advisory support and review responsibilities to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Qualifications Required:
- 3 years of U.S. experience within an accounting firm or bookkeeping firm servicing law firm clients. (Experience working within a law firms internal accounting department will not be considered)
- Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Strong English communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel Word and Teams
- Knowledgeable with CLIO (preferable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting & Financial Management
- Perform IOLTA reconciliations
- Maintain and manage client books in QuickBooks Online
- Review QuickBooks files for accurate coding accounts payable accounts receivable and transaction completeness
- Perform accounting clean-ups and catch-up work for clients with incomplete records
- Classify transactions and complete monthly reconciliations for bank credit card and liability accounts
- Tie out payroll liabilities and payroll-related expenses
- Manage law firm trust accounting processes in compliance with firm and regulatory requirements
- Law firm trust accounting experience is required
