Senior Accountant Client Accounting Services (CAS)

Reports To: Accounting Manager / Director of Accounting
Position Overview
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing accounting operations for multiple client entities within the firms Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice. This role leads the month-end close process reviews work performed by junior staff prepares financial statements and ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting expertise experience in outsourced or public accounting environments and the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Client Accounting Management
- Manage accounting operations for multiple client entities across various industries
Maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts and financial records

Oversee and review work performed by Accountants and Bookkeepers

Ensure compliance with internal accounting standards
Month-End Close

Lead monthly and quarterly close processes

Review and approve journal entries accruals and adjustments
-
Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations
-
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Financial Reporting
- Provide clear and actionable financial insights to clients and internal teams
- Analyze financial results and identify variances or trends
Client Relationship Management
Accounting Cleanup & Process Improvement

Lead clean-up and reconciliation of historical financial records
-
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
-
Support implementation of accounting systems and automation tools
Compliance & Audit Support
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
-
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) REQUIRED
-
45 years of accounting experience preferably in:
Preferred
-
Experience in Client Accounting Services (CAS)
-
Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
-
Familiarity with accounting automation tools and integrated systems
