Job Description
As a Security Officer Event Screener in Orlando FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As a Screener in a government location you will help monitor entry points conduct screening procedures and support a professional welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This role offers the chance to stay visible respond to security-related concerns and deliver strong customer service and communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures access control activities and other security-related policies for a government services location.
- Screen visitors staff and/or contractors as they enter the location verify identification and appointments and help to direct people to the appropriate area.
- Respond to incidents prohibited item discoveries and other critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and report observations according to site protocols.
- Monitor entry points visitor flow and waiting areas to help to identify unusual activity and support orderly operations throughout the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned noting conditions that may require attention and communicating them to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
