About the Role
As Cover Supervisor you will deliver pre-planned work during teacher absence ensuring pupils remain focused behaviour is managed consistently and learning continues smoothly.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 following set work and lesson instructions
Establishing a calm purposeful classroom environment using the schools routines
Managing behaviour consistently and escalating concerns appropriately
Supporting pupils to engage with tasks and maintain good work standards
Liaising with teaching staff and pastoral teams to share relevant information
Supporting whole-school systems such as detentions duty or intervention sessions where required
Contributing to safeguarding by acting promptly on any welfare concerns
