Job Title: Fire Protection / Alarm Technician
Location: Golden CO (On-site)
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $25 $46 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Protection / Alarm Technician to support inspection testing maintenance and repair of fire life safety systems within a large facility environment. This role is part of a collaborative maintenance team and is critical to ensuring systems remain compliant reliable and fully operational.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with both team members and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection testing service and troubleshooting of fire protection systems including fire alarms sprinklers and extinguishers
- Execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure system reliability and compliance
- Complete service calls minor repairs and assist with system installations
- Maintain accurate and timely work orders reports and documentation
- Learn and support fire protection control systems for ongoing service needs
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide clear follow-up on work performed
- Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation
- Support additional maintenance tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school training preferred
- NICET Fire Alarm Systems Certification (Level II) required
- Working knowledge of NFPA standards (NFPA)
- Valid drivers license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical documents safety procedures and system manuals
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly
- Capability to perform hands-on work in a facility environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Backflow certification
- Experience working in large commercial or industrial facilities
