Job Summary:
We are seeking a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience in medical-legal environments to provide clinical supervision and support to social workers delivering grief counseling services. This role focuses on enhancing clinical practice supporting staff wellbeing and ensuring high-quality care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular 45-minute one-on-one supervision sessions with assigned staff
- Support social workers in enhancing clinical skills and delivering quality care
- Provide guidance on managing grief counseling particularly related to opioid-related loss
- Assist in identifying learning needs strengths and skill development goals
- Promote self-awareness and professional growth through structured supervision
- Address vicarious trauma stress and wellbeing strategies with staff
- Introduce and guide concepts such as:
- Transference and countertransference
- Parallel process
- Cultural and value-based considerations in care
- Participate in meetings with leadership to align on supervision practices and expectations
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all supervision sessions
Required Qualifications:
- Active LCSW License New York State (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience providing clinical supervision to LMSWs
- Experience supporting clients with grief related to opioid overdose loss
- Prior experience in a medical-legal setting
