Job Summary

3-month contract position with a local authority

Summary
  • This is a 3-month contract position with a local authority aimed at delivering high-quality financial assessment income collection and welfare benefits advice services. The role is crucial in supporting the effective operation of the Assessment Hub. The postholder will leverage their technical expertise to resolve complex cases lead process improvements champion automation and provide coaching training and mentoring to colleagues. As a senior team member the postholder will ensure consistent standardised and efficient service delivery and may deputise for the Team Leader when necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality financial assessment income collection and welfare benefits services including managing complex customer inquiries.
  • Ensure consistent and efficient process delivery across the team in line with legislation regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation policies system updates and emerging practices.
  • Manage personal workload effectively meeting performance targets deadlines and quality standards.
Essential Experience Required
  • Proven track record in collection financial assessment and/or welfare benefits advice services.
  • Experience in driving performance improvement within financial assessment or income collection services.

Essential Qualifications Required

  • Relevant professional knowledge and strong understanding of income-related assessments collection services and welfare benefits.
Additional Information
  • Working hours: 35 hours per week
  • Hybrid working: 2 days in office
  • DBS required
  • Bi-weekly payment schedule
