Job Summary
As an Senior Assistant Buyer for ASOS youll play a key role in developing amazing product and building fashion-forward commercial ranges that deliver against sales and margin targets. Youll work closely with your Buyer Design Technical and Merchandising teams as well as suppliers and brands to create ranges loved by our 20-something customer. This is a fast-paced creative role where youll influence trends negotiate with suppliers and help shape the Topshop Topman product offering.
The Details
Youll support the Buyer in sourcing and developing products oversee fittings and sample approvals and help create a fashion-forward range with constant newness. Youll also manage the critical path build strong supplier relationships and contribute to department strategy by identifying risks and opportunities.
- Negotiate cost prices and delivery dates while maintaining excellent supplier relationships
- Work closely with Design and Merchandising teams to build ranges analyse sales data and agree actions
- Present insights on trends and competitor activity to inform decisions
- Influence trading decisions and optimise sales performance
- Support Fashion with Integrity initiatives and ethical sourcing considerations
- Oversee training and development of Buying Assistants within the team
- Champion Diversity Equity & Inclusion strategies across everything you do

Qualifications :
Wed love to meet someone who
- Has previous Fashion Buying experience as an Senior Assistant Buyer in a fast-paced global Retailer or Brand
- Lives and breathes fashion and is passionate about the product
- Has a strong understanding of 20-something culture and the ASOS customer and is able to spot the latest trends relevant for them
- Is super organised able to use their initiative and to work in a high-pressured environment
- Has great attention to detail to ensure that all the important details such as selling price shipment dates and product attributes are correct
- Has the ability to build strong relationships with other Retail teams and suppliers alike
- Effectively demonstrates the ASOS values - Authentic Brave Creative and Disciplined
- Is able to communicate and present clearly and effectively to all levels
- Has experience of using relevant trading systems and MS Office
