Job Summary

Job Title: Shipping & Inventory Coordinator

Duration: Initial term with up to 12 months extension
Work Hours: MondayFriday 8:15 AM 4:30 PM (36.25 hours/week)


Role Overview
This role requires a physically fit and detail-oriented individual to perform a combination of warehouse operations and administrative duties. The candidate will be responsible for shipping/receiving inventory control and operating material handling equipment (including reach trucks) in a secure and controlled warehouse environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Pick pack and ship orders within 2448 hours while maintaining high accuracy
  • Perform shipping receiving and inventory reconciliation
  • Conduct cyclic inventory counts and maintain stock accuracy
  • Operate reach truck and other warehouse equipment safely
  • Maintain and update shipping databases (e.g. Shipping Manager MOVES)
  • Record shipment details including waybill numbers parcel counts and serialized ranges
  • Receive stock verify quantities and process documentation within 24 hours
  • Ensure proper stock organization replenishment and FIFO rotation
  • Handle departmental mail distribution
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone email or in person
  • Follow OHS safety standards and participate in safety inspections/committees
  • Perform general warehouse duties including lifting (up to 35 lbs) bending and standing for extended periods


Mandatory Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must own and wear CSA-approved steel-toe safety footwear
  • Ability to type 35 WPM (assessment required)
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License (MVID required)
  • Minimum 1 year of Reach Truck experience (mandatory; counterbalance not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of shipping & inventory control experience in a warehouse environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry


Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Valid Reach Truck certification
  • Experience with supply chain software (e.g. JD Edwards MS Dynamics GP)
  • Experience with inventory systems and waybill platforms (e.g. Loomis Purolator)
  • Experience with data entry and data processing (2 years)
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment (pallet jacks shrink wrapper strapper etc.)
  • Experience handling controlled/serialized inventory (e.g. high-value goods)
  • Knowledge of OHS standards and workplace safety protocols

  • Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team
  • Must pass criminal background check (EPS/RCMP)
  • Completion of mandatory government training (Privacy Cybersecurity OHS etc.)
