Job Title: Curriculum & Instruction Coordinator

Primary Purpose:
Provide leadership coordination and continuous improvement of curriculum and instruction across the campus. Support teachers and instructional leaders through coaching modeling and professional development aligned to research-based instructional strategies (RBIS) adopted curriculum programs and effective classroom management practices. Ensure alignment fidelity and effectiveness of instructional systems to drive student achievement outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Masters degree preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Deep knowledge of research-based instructional strategies (RBIS)
- Strong understanding of curriculum design alignment and assessment practices
- Ability to coach and develop adult learners
- Experience with instructional data analysis and progress monitoring
- Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead initiatives and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of curriculum platforms
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience
- Experience in instructional coaching curriculum development or campus leadership preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Leadership & Coaching
- Coach train and support teachers in the lesson internalization process and LPS instructional model
- Coach train and support teachers in the implementation of research-based instructional strategies (RBIS)
- Model effective instructional practices and classroom management techniques for teachers
- Support teachers in implementing all adopted instructional and curriculum programs with fidelity
- Assist in planning and implementing professional growth programs as needed/requested
- Develop and deliver high-quality professional development to increase instructional effectiveness
Curriculum & Program Management
- Provide leadership in identifying evaluating and selecting instructional programs
- Facilitate alignment of campus and district curriculum including creation and revision of unit assessments in Aware
- Collaborate with instructional staff and campus/district leaders to evaluate and select instructional resources aligned to learning goals
- Manage and coordinate meetings with instructional staff and campus/district leaders as needed to ensure effective implementation of instructional programs
- Oversee implementation and continuous improvement of all curriculum systems and programs
Data & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze instructional data and evaluative findings to assess program effectiveness
- Support staff in using assessment data (including STAAR and EOC) to inform instructional decisions
- Lead continuous improvement cycles to strengthen curriculum and instructional outcomes
Collaboration & Systems Leadership
- Collaborate with instructional staff and leadership to design implement and evaluate campus instructional programs
- Facilitate Professional Learning Community (PLC) processes focused on instructional improvement
- Support alignment between campus and district instructional priorities
Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate accelerated instruction systems and supports
- Order curriculum manage delivery/receipt maintain inventory and oversee vendor contracts for instructional materials and services
- Compile maintain and file all required reports and documentation
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise and evaluate the work of professional staff as assigned by the CAO
- Provide direction and support to teachers and instructional staff as assigned
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Tools/Equipment Used:
Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture:
Frequent sitting and standing; occasional bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
Motion:
Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting:
Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 50 pounds)
Environment:
May work prolonged or irregular hours; work inside and outside (exposure to weather conditions and noise); frequent districtwide and statewide travel
Mental Demands:
Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
Other:
