Maintenance Coordinator (Planning)

We are seeking a Maintenance Planning Coordinator to join our team at Capcoal Surface Operations in Middlemount Queensland.  Capcoal is an open cut coal operation producing approximately 5.1 Mtpa utilising a fleet that includes a rope shovel five excavators two draglines and three drills.

As the Maintenance Planning Coordinator you will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and will manage a team of 5 Maintenance Planners responsible for developing and executing the short-term maintenance plans and schedules for our mobile and field fleet in addition to light vehicles and ancillary equipment. 

Alongside your leadership responsibilities you will be responsible for the development of long-term maintenance plans and budgets covering timeframes of up to 18 months.  Youll help shape equipment strategies contribute to capital planning manage key technical information and ensure forecasts are consistent and up to date. 

Qualifications :

To be successful in this position you will ideally have experience in the following:

• You will possess a mechanical trade qualification or engineering degree
• Demonstrated experience working in a leadership / supervisor capacity within a maintenance team at a large open cut mining operation
• Previous maintenance planning experience for field and / or mobile equipment and a well-developed understanding of maintenance strategies
• Ability to focus on long-term solutions ongoing innovation maintenance costs workplace efficiencies
• Knowledge in Microsoft Programs SAP Obzervr Link One and OEM parts systems are highly desirable
• Industry experience in maintenance budgeting asset management systems and familiarity with mining equipment lifecycle strategies
• Knowledge of the QLD Coal Mining Legislation and Coal Mining practices
