We have some exciting opportunities for experienced Social Workers to join our newly structured services in Leicestershire County Council.

About the Role

We are looking for:

  • Level 2 Social Worker 38734 - 42448 (inclusive of market premia at 3283)
  • Level 3 Social Worker 43222 - 45982 (inclusive of market premia at 3283)

About You

To apply for this post you must respond to and evidence the following 7 essential criteria within your personal statement. This should be no more than 1000 words.

  • Have a Social Work degree or equivalent e.g. CQSW DipSW (with specialism in childrens services).
  • Be registered with Social Work England and have evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Have experience of working in statutory child protection services and completion of Care Proceedings.
  • Have an in depth understanding of the interventions required to build safety and protect children from harm.
  • You must hold a full valid UK driving licence (or be able to convert your current licence) AND have access to a vehicle.
  • Be able to evidence your skills and knowledge of creative innovative and relationship-based social work working in collaboration with families and professionals. Ideally you will already be confident in the application of the Signs of Safety methodology. Have retained a strong interest in research and the evidence base for practice and are confident about how this can be used in practice.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for practice and be committed to helping us build a real culture of reflection and learning.

In addition we also expect you to shareour commitment to our valuesandto delivering accessible and inclusive services which meet the needs of all of our residents. You will be asked to demonstrate your understanding of these commitments as part of the selection process.
