Summary
- The SEN Support Worker will provide high-quality person-centered support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them access education develop independence and achieve positive outcomes. This role is a 1-month contract with a local authority focusing on delivering essential support to enhance the educational experience and personal growth of children with SEN.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small-group support to children with SEN in educational or community settings.
- Implement strategies recommended by teachers SENCOs therapists and EHCP plans.
- Support children with communication behavior regulation emotional well-being and personal development.
- Assist with activities that promote independence learning and social interaction.
- Support children with personal care tasks where necessary (e.g. toileting feeding mobility).
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (autism learning disabilities behavioral needs etc.).
Essential Qualifications Required
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare Teaching Assistant Youth Work Health & Social Care or equivalent experience.
- Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete immediately).

- Bi-weekly payment schedule
- The role requires DBS
