Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned General Manager to lead the end-to-end operations of client's equipment manufacturing facility. This senior leadership role is responsible for aligning operational execution with strategic goals enhancing productivity quality and cost-efficiency across all departments.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and optimize end-to-end operations including manufacturing engineering logistics procurement and supply chain management
Develop and execute operational strategies that drive efficiency quality and cost-effectiveness
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing Six Sigma and industry best practices
Ensure strong planning and coordination across production and materials to meet customer demand and delivery timelines
Lead and coach a high-performing operations and supply chain team; develop talent and promote a culture of accountability
Foster collaboration across functions including quality finance and business development
Manage operational budgets capital expenditures and resource planning
Monitor KPIs and operational data to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions
Ensure safety environmental compliance and regulatory standards are met across the facility
Drive operational transformation and system upgrades to support growth and scalability

Requirements:

Degree in Engineering or related field; MBA preferred
15 years of leadership experience in high-mix complex manufacturing (preferably electronics/EMS)
Strong knowledge of SMT wave soldering electromechanical assembly processes
Proven track record in lean Six Sigma and operational turnaround
Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficient in ERP systems MS Office/Google Suite and safety standards
Open to be based in Penang
