Job Title: Merchandise & Apparel Project Manager

Classification: Full-Time Exempt

Salary: DOE

Reports to: Merchandise & Apparel Manager

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm (occasional evenings/weekends as needed)

Location: In-Office (no remote) 5000 N Basin Ave. Portland OR 97217

General Summary: The Merchandise & Apparel Project Manager supports the execution of branded merch and apparel projects for Premier Press clients. This role works closely with sales creative sourcing and production teams to help ensure projects are completed accurately on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate is organized detail-oriented and interested in learning apparel production promotional merchandise sourcing and project management.


Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

Project Management

  • Assist in managing multiple merchandise and apparel projects from concept through delivery.
  • Help maintain production timelines and track project milestones.
  • Support sales teams by helping translate client needs into production details.
  • Facilitate regular client meetings; deliver clear presentations on project statuses.
  • Assist with tracking pricing budgets and basic cost details.

Apparel & Merchandise Production

  • Help source apparel and promotional products through approved vendors.
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate basic decoration methods such as screen printing embroidery and heat transfer.
  • Work with design teams to prepare artwork for production.
  • Review proofs and samples for accuracy and flag any issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support communication between sales creative production and fulfillment teams.
  • Provide updates on project status and timelines.
  • Assist with projects tied to marketing campaigns and client initiatives.

Vendor & Production Support

  • Help maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Request quotes track lead times and follow up on orders.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory and production schedules.

Fulfillment & Distribution

  • Help coordinate kitting packing and shipping of merchandise.
  • Support company stores employee programs and event distribution.
  • Track shipments to ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 13 years of experience in apparel promotional products print or a related field (or relevant internship experience).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and willingness to collaborate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to apparel decoration or promotional products.
  • Familiarity with sourcing tools (ASI SAGE) is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in a production print or marketing environment is helpful.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones and photocopiers.
