Position Overview
Wetland Studies and Solutions Inc. a Davey company has an immediate need for a Junior Accountant to work in a team environment to assist the other accounting staff and the Controller. This person must be able to perform basic accounting functions work well with others and serve as a key support member on the accounting team. This full-time position requires occasional evening and weekend work due to month-end close responsibilities and deadlines. The successful candidate will report to our Gainesville Virginia office.
Job Duties
- Data entry
- A/R processing and collections
- Billing assistance
- Contract review and project set up
- Assist with office administration tasks
- Assist with month-end/year-end close and internal reporting
- Other tasks as requested by senior staff
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- Recent college graduate or 0-5 years experience
- Basic knowledge of automated accounting systems (will train on SAP S/4 software)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
