CLASSIFICATION: SUPPORT STAFF
JOB TITLE: ELECTRONIC INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNICIAN
CALENDAR: 2611H (12 MONTH)
SALARY: GRADE 117 (SUPPORT HOURLY)
Job Goal:
Service install operate test and maintain the districts networked electronic devices including intercom Pro sound A/V equipment cameras and clock systems that comply with district standards and security policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in electronic science preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent college course in technology
- Three or more years of relevant experience working with audio video and presentation systems
- Strong background in low-voltage cabling
- Experience with CCTV Systems
- Familiarity with BICSI standards
- Strong human relations documentation and communication skills
- Broad knowledge of relevant district state and federal policies and laws
- Excellent computer skills and ability to work with standard software products
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- Knowledge of and adherence to all policies rules and regulations
Core Job Functions:
- Troubleshoot install test and maintain various electronic infrastructure technologies
- Deploys IT hardware to support various low-voltage special systems
- Instructs or trains staff on the correct usage of A/V equipment and other technology
- Maintain communication with field services technicians engineers and network staff
- Provide customer support and assist other departments as requested
- Assure compliance with required process standards procedures and guidelines
- Maintain accurate records supply inventory and project supply recommendations
- Complete installation and removal of structured cabling components cabinets and pathway systems; and move equipment and related communications infrastructure materials
- Evaluate diagnose and troubleshoot audio video infrastructure systems and perform repairs
- Perform necessary upgrades to the network-attached audio and video devices
- Test and configure software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices
- Provide electronic maintenance including installation and replacement of cable systems
- Perform a variety of clerical work and record-keeping
- Make recommendations for program modifications
- Perform all duties as assigned safely and prudently as directed
