Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

RiVidium Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design build and manage secure scalable and high-performing cloud-based systems. This role focuses on hybrid and multi-cloud environments and serves as a key bridge between traditional IT infrastructure and modern cloud solutions enabling the organization to fully leverage cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and define cloud architectures for new and existing systems and services
• Implement and manage scalable secure solutions using IaaS PaaS and event-driven architectures
• Oversee day-to-day cloud operations to ensure performance reliability and cost efficiency
• Establish secure software-defined cloud interconnects between on-premises systems and cloud environments
• Implement security controls and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues with minimal disruption
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that improve performance scalability and security
• Align cloud solutions with mission objectives and organizational requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with current and emerging technologies
• Proven experience with virtualization (e.g. VMware) and major cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud)
• Strong knowledge of cloud services including compute storage networking databases and analytics
• Experience with network security identity and access management (IdAM) and compliance frameworks (e.g. FedRAMP DoD Impact Levels NIST)
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks including RMF NIST 800-53 and STIGs
• Strong understanding of networking firewalls and role-based access control (RBAC)
• Experience with IdAM technologies such as Active Directory Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) LDAP and cloud-based identity solutions
• Proficiency with scripting (e.g. PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies
• Bachelors degree or vocational diploma in IT Information Systems or a related field
  • Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS and/or Microsoft certifications at the Associate or Expert level (e.g. Solutions Architect Systems Administrator or Engineer)
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Department of Navy (DoN) or law enforcement environments

Certifications (Required):

• Must meet DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II requirements
