The Service Technician is responsible for providing technical support troubleshooting maintenance coordination and service resolution for company systems products or client equipment. This role ensures that technical issues are diagnosed documented and resolved efficiently to maintain high service quality and customer satisfaction.
The Service Technician collaborates with support teams engineers and clients to deliver reliable technical solutions in a fully remote environment with occasional coordination of field or vendor services if required.
This is a fully remote position; however applicants must currently reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues for systems hardware or software
- Provide remote technical support to clients and internal users
- Document service requests troubleshooting steps and resolutions
- Coordinate repairs maintenance and service escalations with vendors or field teams
- Perform system checks updates and preventive maintenance procedures
- Assist with installation guidance and configuration support
- Monitor system performance and report recurring technical issues
- Maintain accurate service logs and technical documentation
- Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical users
- Ensure compliance with company service standards and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology Electronics Engineering or related field preferred
- 25 years of experience in technical support field service or IT service roles
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Basic understanding of hardware software and networking concepts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle service escalations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with service management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management
- Familiarity with remote support tools such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk
- Experience supporting hardware networking or enterprise IT environments
- Certifications such as CompTIA A Network or ITIL Foundation are a plus
- Background in technical service telecom or IT support industries
Compensation
- Annual Salary Range: $55000 $80000 USD depending on experience technical expertise and service scope
