Reports to: Operations Director
Location: Madrid - Spain (scope includes Southern Europe)
Coverage: Industrial sites (factories) and non-industrial environments (offices)
Job Purpose
Lead and oversee the Health & Safety (H&S) strategy across all industrial and office operations in Iberia and Southern Europe ensuring compliance with Spanish occupational risk prevention legislation and alignment with the Groups global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the local and regional H&S strategy aligned with global guidelines.
- Ensure legal compliance with Spanish Health & Safety regulations and coordinate adaptation for Southern Europe.
- Manage the External Prevention Service (SPA) and maintain relationships with official bodies and Safety Committees.
- Lead internal and external audits certifications and continuous improvement plans.
- Coordinate risk assessments inspections and action plans for factories and offices.
- Supervise critical work permits (hot work working at heights confined spaces ATEX risk areas etc.).
- Promote a strong safety culture developing training programs campaigns and communication initiatives.
- Investigate accidents and incidents implementing corrective and preventive measures.
- Manage KPIs and reporting at local and regional levels.
- Coordinate activities with contractors and suppliers ensuring compliance with H&S standards.
- Participate in emergency and safety committees leading meetings and contingency planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk prevention into all operational decisions.
Requirements
- Education: University degree (preferably Engineering) Masters in Occupational Risk Prevention (three specializations).
- Experience: Minimum 710 years in senior H&S roles with exposure to industrial and corporate environments.
- Languages: Spanish (mandatory) and high-level English (mandatory).
- Knowledge: Spanish H&S legislation European regulations ISO management systems () auditing processes.
