Your Opportunity

Join Mission Australia and play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care and wellness services. We are seeking a proactive and organised administration officer to provide essential administrative and secretarial support within our Homeless Crisis Services.

As the first point of contact you will play a key role in ensuring warm professional and efficient front-of-house experience. Alongside reception duties you will provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the service and contribute to a professional and welcoming environment.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage the front desk and act as first point of contact for all visitors residents and staff
  • Answer and direct phone calls emails and general enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail deliveries and couriers
  • Coordinate meetings including room bookings calendars agendas and minutes
  • Assist with event coordination and volunteering activities
  • Maintain accurate filing systems and ensure records are stored in line with organisational policies
  • Support administrative systems including diaries records and documentation

Requirements for Success

  • Strong administration organisation and time management skills
  • Previous experience in a reception front office desirable
  • Experience handling high-volume enquiries in a professional environment
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
  • Friendly approachable and customer focused with professional manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Word Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • In depth understanding of homelessness and have a trauma informed approach
  • Exposure to or knowledge of vulnerable individuals

Before starting work with us you will need to undertake a national police history check qualifications referee checks and WWCC.
