Shift Details:
- Monday to Friday: 4:00 PM 12:00 AM
- Weekend: Every other weekend (4:00 PM 12:00 AM)
- Hours Per Day: 7.5
Pay Rate: $65/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist for an exciting contract opportunity with a leading healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure optimal image quality
- Conduct daily quality control (QC) and calibration checks on CT equipment
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records department logs and report equipment issues promptly
- Follow ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety guidelines
- Perform quality assurance (QA) and safety testing procedures
- Manage patient imaging data for radiologist interpretation
- Order and verify patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses prior to procedures
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T)
- ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Minimum 1 year of CT imaging experience
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Proficiency in English (reading writing and speaking)
Preferred Skills
- Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
- Ability to assess and respond to patient needs before during and after procedures
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in radiology
