Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Supporting pupils in developing practical analytical and theoretical scientific skills

• Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and monitoring progress

• Delivering safe and effective practical experiments

• Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives

• Supporting enrichment activities such as STEM clubs competitions and science events

• Maintaining a positive inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge across Biology Chemistry and Physics

• Be confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities

• Work collaboratively as part of a department and wider school community

• Be committed to continuous professional development
