Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Supporting pupils in developing practical analytical and theoretical scientific skills
Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and monitoring progress
Delivering safe and effective practical experiments
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives
Supporting enrichment activities such as STEM clubs competitions and science events
Maintaining a positive inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge across Biology Chemistry and Physics
Be confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
Work collaboratively as part of a department and wider school community
Be committed to continuous professional development
