Job Summary
Job Title: Technical Business Analyst -15 yrs Exp
Location: Austin TX - (Remote- Any location within the State of Texas)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
- Experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a related field with strong understanding of standard concepts practices and procedures
- Experience in business analysis including requirements elicitation documentation gap analysis and testing
- Experience as a Data Analyst working with raw data using Excel Tableau or similar tools
- Proven experience working on government projects (mandatory)
- Experience working on similar system transformation or migration projects reflected in resume/project history
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision demonstrating initiative creativity and sound judgment
- Strong experience reviewing analyzing and evaluating business systems and user needs
- Expertise in translating business strategies into system solutions and technical requirements
- Experience with business process reengineering process mapping and identifying technology-driven improvements
- Ability to prepare solution options risk assessments cost-benefit analysis ROI analysis and buy/build recommendations
- Strong documentation skills including detailed functional specifications user stories and system requirements
- Experience leading and coordinating requirements gathering sessions stakeholder meetings and workshops
- Hands-on experience performing gap analysis between current and future state systems workflows and reporting structures
- Experience collaborating with technical teams and tracking requirements through development and testing phases
- Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
- Familiarity with BABOK principles including elicitation requirements analysis and validation
- Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform tools including PowerAutomate Microsoft Forms Excel-based data systems and PowerBI dashboards
- Experience with Jotform or similar workflow/form automation tools preferred
- Strong understanding of workflow automation email triggers PDF generation and data management systems
- Experience in data migration strategies including integrating legacy Excel data with new system data structures
- Ability to define reporting requirements including KPIs metrics filters and data transformation rules
- Experience creating Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) linking business needs to functional and test cases
- Strong skills in stakeholder communication negotiation conflict resolution and consensus building
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including business users technical leads and leadership
- Experience preparing current-state and future-state documentation including process flows field inventories and user roles/permissions
- Ability to identify compliance gaps and propose feasible scalable solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience developing test plans test cases UAT support and validation of system functionality
- Ability to create and maintain requirements change logs and version-controlled documentation
- Experience producing weekly status reports including progress risks issues and mitigation strategies
- Strong verbal written and presentation communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Experience with PowerBI PowerAutomate preferred; Jotform experience is a plus
- Ability to adapt to evolving business requirements regulatory changes and system complexities
