Te tūranga The role
The System Effectiveness and Engagement team assesses the performance of the financial system in delivering the functions and services required by New Zealanders and leads RBNZs domestic and international financial system engagement.
As Senior Analyst you will work with other Senior Analysts and Advisers to conduct in-depth analysis and research across a range of areas to address complex questions and challenges facing New Zealand and global economies. You will leverage your technical knowledge and strong written and verbal communication skills to contribute to our external publications shaping our policies support our decision-making and advance our understanding of the financial system.

Were looking for a collaborative team member who can communicate well and work to deadlines effectively. To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant professional experience perhaps in the fields of banking insurance financial markets financial stability accounting macroeconomics economics or at other central banks
Strong analytical research and communication skills
Understanding of financial systems especially banking and regulatory frameworks
Experience with data collections or policy analysis
The proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
Experience in our interest areas of climate financial system effectiveness financial inclusion or the Māori economy would be advantageous
