  • Dunedin Hospital -Permanent Position
  • 0.7 FTE / 56 Hours per fortnight
  • CNS Salary Band $116040 - $127674 p.a prorata Kiwisaver
  • NP Salary Band - $136815 - $162802 p.a prorata Kiwisaver

About the role

Work within our Older Persons Health Service providing:

  • Undertake Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments within community settings
  • Work alongside our SMOs in clinic
  • Provide consultancy expert advice and clinical leadership
  • Work across services to increase early preventive input proactive assessment and intervention of complex clinical issues focus on frailty and prevention of deconditioning
  • Develop and influences education health policies clinical standards/practice and service development at a local level for Older Peoples Health with a quality improvement focus
  • Provide advanced nursing care for people with dementia deliriumand those older persons presenting with significant challenging behaviour through the development of a collaborative/ interprofessional model of care.

About you

  • Be a Registered Nurse / Nurse Practitioner with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Or a Registered Nurse who has completed or is working towards their clinical Masters
  • Post Graduate Diploma within relevant area
  • Experienced in Older Persons Health
  • Can successfully engage stakeholders in a positive manner
  • Have demonstrated expert knowledge of older adults and can apply this within the context of our Health NZ strategies
  • Be a confident and clear communicator with an engaging and personable style

Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between:

  • CNS Salary Band $116040 - $127674 p.a prorata
  • NP Salary Band - $136815 - $162802 p.a prorata
