The Position:Reporting to Manager Employment & Community Services the Facilitator Employment & Community Services will be responsible for the development and facilitation of programs and employment workshops in relation to Abilities Centre internal services. The candidate will be responsible for planning and facilitating program sessions providing on-the-job coaching and support to participants and developing job aids tools and resources in collaboration with the Employment team. The candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of employment and community programs available services and the everchanging labour Youll Do:Assess and plan. You will be responsible for completing and reviewing attendee related documentation in department will adopt a unique and creative thinking approach when supporting participants and job will plan organize and update curriculum to suit individuals needs to ensure relevancy and success for each participant and job seeker. You will assist with the planning development and delivery of programs and workshops based on the needs of attendees (virtually and in person).Deliver and evaluate. You will work in a group setting to ensure job seekers are on the right track in relation to their career goal(s) and skill will collaborate with the Administrator and Manager Employment & Community Services to oversee the day-to-day operations of all employment workshops and community programs addressing any issues that may arise with attendees parents staff individuals and booking of will deliver and implement employment workshops within various school boards in person or will research develop and implement learning material related to the different skill development and social enterprise will provide job coaching supports to job seekers participating in internal programs and to working individuals accessing Abilities Centre Employment Services. Support and foster. You will support youth and adults of all backgrounds and abilities with the development of necessary life skills pre-employment skills and job search tools and will support job seekers and students in developing skills required to research interview for and secure will monitor individuals progress and collaborate with other members of the employment team to ensure success in job securement and retention. Communicate and collaborate. You will actively participate in team meetings staff meetings and debriefs and will provide additional administrative support to the Employment team as will discuss and provide constructive descriptive feedback to job will establish rapport and maintain effective relationships with members staff volunteers and community will collaborate with Manager Employment & Community Services to research develop and assess the feasibility of new and innovative initiatives that complement and enhance existing duties as assigned by Manager Employment & Community You Bring:Education and knowledge. You have completed or are enrolled in post-secondary education in Social Services Developmental Services Community Services Therapeutic Recreation Career Counselling Adult Education or have 1-3 years experience working with individuals with disabilities; knowledge of inclusion accessibility and accommodation in the workplace is considered an have experience applying a variety of therapeutic tools and techniques that focus on and promote inclusion and adaptation of all activities to meet the changing needs and abilities of individuals is are familiar with job searching techniques local provincial labour markets interviewing skills workplace accommodations and return-to-work Communication and Relationship Building. You exhibit a high level of emotional intelligence cultural sensitivity and an awareness of barriers to success including learning limitations. You are self-motivated and results-oriented; you demonstrate initiative and contribute to a work environment that values and encourages innovation. You have exceptional oral and written communication skills and are comfortable presenting to large can make connections with peers parents and are a team player that is flexible and can handle multiple tasks and demands Requirements and is required that you have a current clear criminal record check for the vulnerable sector from the last 6 months.
