Position Overview
The Engineering Document Specialist II supports multi-regional operations by managing compiling and maintaining engineering and product documentation. This role ensures accurate documentation compliance and timely delivery of document packages associated with valve products and configurations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented analytical and experienced in manufacturing or engineering environments with exposure to quality documentation and product traceability.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation & Compliance
- Download and manage Certified Material Test Reports (CMTRs) and related documentation
- Create and maintain:
- Certificates of Compliance (CoC)
- Certificates of Origin (CoO)
- Compile and assemble complete document packages for valve products
- Upload finalized documentation into document management systems (e.g. Alfresco)
- Support Pre-Assembly Release documentation processes
Quality & Inspection Support
- Review and verify:
- Material heat reports
- Product documentation accuracy
- Inspect warehouse picking accuracy by validating:
- Part numbers
- Serial numbers
- Quantities
- Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) and Final Inspection teams
Operations & Reporting
- Report internal and external defects on a daily basis
- Assist in identifying root causes for defects and discrepancies
- Ensure documentation readiness aligns with shipment schedules
- Support timely delivery of products by ensuring document completeness
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Basic understanding of:
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Engineering documentation processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Engineering Technical or related field
- Experience working with:
- Document management systems (e.g. Alfresco)
- Quality or compliance documentation
- Exposure to valve oil & gas or industrial manufacturing environments
