This position reports to:

Sales Manager

The Sales Specialist will be responsible for meeting/exceeding assigned sales goals and objectives by developing and maintaining strong productive working relationships with customers and by successfully quoting negotiating closing and managing opportunities with channel partners and small/medium contractors incorporating the complete ABB ELSP ELSB and ELDS product portfolios.

In this role youll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

The work model for the role is: California; Remote #Li-Remote

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong productive working relationships with electrical and general contractors at all levels of their organizations; develop and maintain strong productive working relationships with channel partners residential & light commercial contractors.

  • Perform project take-offs and develop cost effective proposals from project plans and specifications for electrical distribution and control equipment and services; develop and maintain customer account plans & pipeline detailing identity of key customers stakeholders estimated total annual ABB volume project hit-rate strength of relationship development needs etc.

  • Meet or exceed assigned goals and objectives including but not limited to orders budgets; develop and utilize strong network of cross-functional internal resources (manufacturing operations spec engineers field services etc.) to maximize productivity and hit-rate.

  • Create accurately maintain and strategically utilize digital sales tools including Empower SFDC and Power BI; utilize resources including Dodge to help proactively identify and pursue strategic opportunities; provide market feedback competitive intelligence and hit-rate information to business and sales leadership.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 2 years sales experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products

  • Must be able to drive automobile to visit customers

  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
