Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Location: Fort Myers FL
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift: 4 10-hour Evening Shifts
Weekly Gross Pay: $1900 $2200 (based on experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia. This role involves working with both adult and pediatric populations in a fast-paced collaborative clinical environment. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong clinical judgment adaptability and the ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia
- Provide comprehensive care to both adult and pediatric patients
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment
- Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals
- Float to other units or affiliated campuses as required
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of PACU nursing experience
- Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with EPIC EMR system required
Education Requirements
- Degree from an accredited nursing program (must be listed on profile)
OR - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Certifications Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Floating Requirements
- Floating is required; travelers will float first
- May be assigned to:
- Adult PACU
- Pediatric PACU
- Sister campuses
