Job Summary
The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Specialist to support multiple offices including the Presidents Office. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the office by managing a broad range of high-level administrative functions and overseeing complex financial transactions. The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with exceptional judgment discretion and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Performs a wide range of administrative responsibilities including records management requiring a thorough understanding of University policies and procedures. Provides administrative financial and operational support to leadership and departmental offices. Provides primary support for budget forecasting and planning including performing monthly and annual reconciliations of cost centers. Also provides direct support with facilitating departmental purchases and travel and reimbursements requests. Manages inquiries directed to the leader; determines the proper course of action and collaborates with the appropriate individual(s) to formulate the responses. Composes complex correspondence/memorandums and proofreads documents. Handles confidential and sensitive information as appropriate. May develop and prepare presentations and reports; communicates leaderships direction on policies or issues using judgment and discretion. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in business or a related field of study. Five (5) years of experience providing high-level administrative support OR seven (7) years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience of the Universitys policies and procedures. Knowledge and experience of PeopleSoft. Knowledge and experience of Concur.
