CGI is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team and support payroll processing across multiple European countries. This role will play a key part in executing and controlling monthly payroll ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
Here are high-level responsibilities you can include for the temporary Payroll Specialist (12-month contract):
- Support end-to-end monthly payroll processing activities across multiple countries (Denmark Norway Luxembourg Hungary Slovakia and Bulgaria) using ADP Celergo or Streamline ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Prepare review and upload payroll input data using standard templates and system tools ensuring all submissions are complete and validated prior to payroll processing.
- Maintain and validate employee master data changes (e.g. new hires leavers contract amendments and compensation changes) in accordance with established payroll controls and governance processes.
- Review and monitor absence leave and time-related data liaising with HR and local stakeholders to resolve discrepancies prior to payroll cut-off.
- Act as a first point of contact for payroll queries from employees HR and managers across supported countries triaging and resolving issues or escalating to ADP/local providers where required.
- Support payroll reconciliations and reporting including control checks variance analysis and validation of payroll outputs against submitted inputs.
- Coordinate with HR Finance ADP and local in-country providers to ensure payroll accuracy and timely resolution of payroll discrepancies.
- Maintain payroll documentation standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supporting evidence for internal controls audit requests and compliance reviews.
- Assist with system and process transition activities including testing data validation and process stabilisation during system or operating model changes.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations confidentiality requirements and internal control frameworks including segregation of duties and payroll governance standards.
- Previous experience in payroll roles (ideally in an international environment)
- Knowledge of payroll systems
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with international stakeholders
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
