The opportunity

The purpose of the PMO Manager is to ensure that the portfolio of projects is managed and reported appropriately to provide the Utilities Technology Group and Utilities executive team with a transparent and holistic view of project and program performance and to ensure that each project outcome is achieved using a common Utilities project management and portfolio method. The role includes the overall co-ordination of project portfolio monitoring reporting and escalation of project status budget issues and risks.

What youll do

  • Maintaining overall management of the Agile Program of work scheduling / rescheduling of activity to suit the overall business roadmap whilst maintaining an acceptable service level in addressing support issues raised
  • Ensuring the regular update of the service portals to maintain user visibility of issue progress
  • Scheduling activities (including rescheduling lower priority tasks) to suit changing demand consistent with the business roadmap agreed at the Utilities IT Governance Board
  • Preparation and maintenance of the Technology Group reporting including Technology Roadmap PMO Report and Technology Risk Report
  • Respond to any problems in project delivery to help identify the root cause and resolve issues

What were looking for

  • Demonstrated experience with Project Management and PMO methodologies and processes
  • Experience with Project scheduling tracking and reporting
  • Strong experience in enhancing frameworks methodologies and processes for IT projects services and portfolios
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Expert knowledge of project management dealing with multiple activity lines of varying duration
