Knowledge and experience - You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a COBOL software engineer. It is a plus if you have already worked with an enterprise Oracle database.

Goal: At Retail Partners we use a proprietary B2B COBOL package. We intend to continue supporting this package until 2030. Since a number of software engineers will be retiring in the coming years we want to mitigate this risk by onboarding a number of new software engineers in a timely manner. We will first build your general knowledge of the COBOL package after which you can build deeper knowledge of doing so you will implement modifications further refine technical documentation and dive into the source code to determine exactly how the as is version works. You will work closely with the solution analysts and application manager.
You will also be involved in performing run tasks ( support) within the B2B COBOL package. You resolve technical incidents determine the urgency of a problem perform daily checks follow up on processes analyze what went wrong this role you are in very close contact with our helpdesk.
