Our client is looking for a Chief Expert SAP ABAP Developer to join the team providing critical tools and solutions for global tax compliance.

This role is responsible for both direct and indirect tax solutions at a group level ensuring the technical integrity of financial systems across a global landscape.

The Mission: You will be responsible for providing high-level technical solutions for global tax compliance. Your role involves negotiating long-term strategic conversations that impact large budgets and multiple organizations.

You will resolve complex production support issues execute system changes through expert configuration and manage the full lifecycle of Change Requests (CRs) to ensure the highest quality of financial data and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP Fiori and TAX modules.
Proven experience working effectively within international teams.
Deep understanding of business processes specifically within the Finance area.

Essential Skills (Verified):

Deep functional expertise in SAP TAX modules
Strong experience configuring SAP S/4HANA Financial modules and integrating TAX processes into the S/4 landscape
SAP Fiori/ ABAP
Proven ability to perform Fit-to-Template workshops and drive FIT/GAP analysis
Extensive experience in solution design process configuration and parameterization following a global template
approach
Strong testing skills including unit testing integration testing and support of system integration tests
Experience with end user authorization role scoping and basic SAP authorization knowledge
Excellent documentation skills: creation and maintenance of functional specs configuration guides and test scripts
Familiarity with BTP integration scenarios
Proficiency using collaboration and ALM tools such as Jira Confluence and Xray (or equivalent)
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional Feature Team members

Advantageous Skills:

Prior exposure to SAP HANA performance considerations and data migration approaches
Familiarity with SAP FI/CO modules (FI CO) and related master data impacts

Ability to work across time zones and occasional flexibility for weekends or extended hours during cutovers

Key Responsibilities:

Understand the business requirements preparing AS-IS and TO-BE documents and get sign-off from users for
Business Blueprint document
ABAP / Fiori coding & debugging (Workbench related knowledge of new development/enhancements)
Setting up the organization structure of Materials Management and perform all relevant configuration for
example Purchase Organisation Valuation Area Plants Storage Location and Warehouse structure etc
Preparation of testing documents and perform internal testing
Preparation of Master Data templates for various objects like Material Master Vendor Master Excise Master
Info-records Source List and Purchase Orders.
Integration testing with other modules
Understand interfaces IDOC and RFCs processing
Preparing the cut over strategy for MM objects
Preparing User manuals and conducting training to business process owners
Go-live preparation and post Go-live support
Interaction with clients through meetings calls and emails
Handling Tickets and Tasks with the responsibility for closing the same within defined SLA s (Service Level Agreements)
Responsible for troubleshooting issues for the system and providing support
Executing the required changes through configuration
Executing the analysis and resolution of Production Support calls
Raising Change Requests (CR s) and writing Functional Specifications for them
Preparing test data for testing of CR s (Change Requests)
Testing CR s (Change Requests) and preparing test results
Carrying out regression testing
Interact with consultants of other modules
User interface transactional solutions
