The role:

As the Senior Manager Financial Partnerships APAC you will be responsible for building evaluating and managing Airwallexs key financial partnerships with banks across APAC with the goal to deepen Airwallexs product capabilities in the region as well as enable Airwallex to launch in new markets.

You will play a critical role in the Financial Partnerships team by scoping establishing negotiating implementing and operationalising complex partnership engagements. This role will be the bridge between financial partners and internal stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and outcomes for the company.

You will also contribute to M&A activities that will have a material impact on the business by providing access to regulatory licenses in new addition to Financial Partnerships you will help in collaborating in new market development efforts by identifying acquisition targets financial analysis and due diligence process ensuring alignment with Airwallexs strategic goals and regulatory needs.

The ideal candidate:

A partnerships expert with experience in the payments industry preferably having managed partnerships with Financial Institutions including banks schemes payment methods as well as other fintechs in the ecosystem.

You have experience working in both big organisations as well as fast-growing startups and hence have the knowledge and experience in putting in place processes and structure while remaining flexible and creative in ensuring they are effective and relevant for the business. You are resourceful action-oriented with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Were after someone who can thrive under pressure and enjoys managing multiple stakeholders to drive towards a desired outcome.

Skills and experience:

• At least 7 years of experience in a similar role in fintech / technology or top-tier management strategy/management consulting. Prior M&A Investment Banking experience is a plus.

• Experience in commercial negotiation and partnership sourcing and management

• Excellent written verbal and in-person communication skills

• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and thrives under pressure
