Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Capital Planning & Construction the Maintenance Reserve Manager is primarily responsible for tracking planning and implementing Radford Universitys maintenance reserve (MR) program. The position will manage multiple simultaneous MR construction projects across all Radford University campuses.

Required Qualifications

Education training and experience in a field related to construction
Experience with the design & construction of complex building and infrastructure projects across diverse building construction methods
Experience with budgeting estimating and financial forecasting
Experience with construction scheduling logistics safety and QA/QC
Experience with design/construction documents and building codes
Experience with contractual expectations and responsibilities
Skilled in clear timely and helpful communication
Demonstrated conflict resolution and team-building skills
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Ability to maintain professional relationships with associates subordinates contractors designers and the university community

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience on state-owned projects with knowledge of higher education facilities requirements especially in Virginia
Experience with the processes and policies of the Commonwealth of Virginia Construction and Professional Services Manual (CPSM)
Depth of knowledge in mechanical electrical plumbing and fire suppression systems
Understanding of Erosion and Sediment Control measures and installation practices with basic emphasis on compliance inspections reporting and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPP) monitoring
Experience developing and utilizing databases
Knowledge of scheduling software Bluebeam Project Management Information System platforms (Procore BIM 360 etc.) and Microsoft Office
