Team Description

The AirPrice Team is expanding as we look to transform our existing technologies and build new generation software solutions. We are seeking a Lead Quality Engineer with deep expertise in cloud-based application testing modern automation frameworks (Selenium Playwright) and CI/CD-driven quality who can own quality strategy across complex platforms and lead automation at scale.

This role is hands-on and strategicowning test architecture automation frameworks quality governance and continuous improvement for cloud-hosted applications

At Sabre were passionate about building software that solves this role you will plan design develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Cloud Quality Strategy & Leadership

• Own and drive the quality strategy for cloud-based applications aligning with architectural and business goals.
• Partner with Product Managers Architects and Engineering Leads to ensure quality is built into design and delivery.
• Define automation-first quality standards best practices and quality gates across the SDLC.
• Lead and mentor Quality Engineers fostering a culture of engineering-driven quality and ownership.

• Test Automation & Framework Engineering

• Architect design and maintain scalable automation frameworks using:
  • Playwright for UI automation
  • API automation frameworks (REST/GraphQL)
• Ensure strong coverage across E2E integration regression negative and exploratory testing.
• Drive cross-browser cross-device and parallel test execution strategies.
• Ensure test automation is reliable maintainable and optimized for cloud execution.

• CI/CD & Continuous Quality

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines enabling early feedback and release confidence.
• Implement quality gates and automation metrics to prevent regressions.
• Support blue/green canary and feature-flag-based release validation.
• Drive shift-left testing practices across teams.

• Non-Functional & Reliability Testing

• Lead testing for performance scalability resiliency and failover in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on resilience testing (timeouts retries graceful degradation).
• Participate in production readiness reviews and post-incident analysis from a quality perspective.

• Defect Management & Continuous Improvement

• Produce high-quality actionable defect reports with root cause analysis.
• Identify systemic quality gaps and technical debt.
• Continuously improve tools frameworks and processes to increase delivery speed and reliability.
• Maintain documentation for test strategies automation frameworks and runbooks.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of related experience
• Experience in fast paced Software Development in Agile environment
• Strong expertise on ideating creating maintaining and implementing test automation frameworks.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of cloud based tech/languages technology stacks etc.
• Proficient English both written and verbal
• Self-disciplined and commitment oriented
