The Opportunity

The Head of UK&I is responsible for playinga pivotal role in growing our client portfolio and deepening longterm relationships across the firm. This position is central to driving external visibility identifying new revenue opportunities and ensuring we remain a trusted partner to our clients.

You will lead business development initiatives shaping client development plans and playing a key role in delivering our external growth strategy. This is a highimpact role requiring strong commercial judgment exceptional communication skills and demonstrable experience influencing senior clients.

This role will sit within our Flexible Services team within Vario.

What Youll Do

UK&I Leadership & Strategy

  • Own the UK&I budget ensuring revenue targets are consistently achieved or exceeded
  • Set and deliver annual UK&I business priorities aligned to the wider group and global Flex strategy
  • Embed global performance frameworks across the UK&I team driving consistency delivery excellence and accountability against standardised KPIs
  • Champion a highperformance culture ensuring clarity of expectations strong delivery and continuous improvement
  • Lead the execution of the UK&I growth strategy aligned to the global Flex growth agenda

UK Account Management

  • Drive sustainable account growth across key UK clients
  • Ensure delivery excellence across all accounts promoting optimisation opportunities that strengthen operational efficiency
  • Lead engagement on pricing bid preparation and contract negotiations to secure commercially sound outcomes

Client Development

  • Act as a global enabler for the Flex client development framework
    • Design and deploy the Flex client development playbook including tools templates and training
    • Partner with Regional Leads to ensure Flex client development activity aligns with groupwide strategy and central priorities
    • Monitor adoption and performance using agreed indicators (e.g. conversion pipeline discipline activity quality) sharing insights with Flex leadership to inform decisionmaking
  • Sponsor and lead major UK pursuits bids and direct client acquisition ensuring delivery and commercial commitments are aligned with Flex leadership expectations
  • Develop new UK&I client pools to meet growth targets - leveraging existing Vario and PM client relationships to identify and unlock new opportunities
  • Translate central client development strategy into tailored practical UK&I activity aligned to local markets and sectors

About You

  • Significant business development experience ideally in a growthfocused client-facing commercial role
  • Experience within a professional services and/or alternative legal services environment
  • A strong track record of developing and growing long-term highvalue client relationships and generating new business leads
  • Experience managing developing and empowering teams including remote/virtual teams
  • Highly commercial with strong influencing skills and the ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders and external decision-makers
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences
