DescriptionJob Summary
Develops and closes new revenue opportunities within a defined profile of Commercial accounts across the tristate area. Success will be achieved through expanding revenue with an assigned portfolio of existing customers while also establishing and growing relationships with targeted prospects. Proactively analyzes individual account performance identifies trends and provides strategic recommendations based on customer buying behaviors and business needs.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze information on new clients to identify opportunities and inform strategic sales approaches.
- Develop and execute sales plans designed to achieve assigned revenue goals.
- Schedule and conduct sales meetings with customers effectively presenting the CABVI value proposition.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with marketing business development and the VIE Ability team to proactively communicate account updates and new product additions to customers.
- Collect and analyze account data to better understand customer behaviors and trends; prepare sales and activity reports to present during bi annual business reviews.
- Recommend solutions that meet customer needs including new product suggestions or suitable alternative products.
- Communicate customer driven product suggestions as well as customer demand insights.
- Responsible for aggressively growing a portfolio of State government accounts totaling approximately$10 million in annual revenue.
- Represent VIE Ability at conferences and events as needed.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales or account management experience including developing new business opportunities selling existing product lines and delivering customized solutions to meet customer needs.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to develop deliver and present information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong active listening skills with the ability to understand customer needs challenges and perspectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel locally with occasional overnight travel as needed.
