Job Summary

Wofford College is seeking a Operations Manager for the Career Center. The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the office to support efficient operations and a welcoming environment for students staff and campus partners. This position coordinates office logistics manages supplies and vendors supports event and program operations maintains reports and data and supervises student workers. The position reports to the Executive Director of the Career Center and supports all members of the Career Center team.

This is a non-exempt 10-month position with a regular schedule of 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required to support events and programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations including scheduling facility maintenance equipment management and workspace organization to ensure an efficient and welcoming environment for students and staff
  • Coordinate all food orders and catering for Career Center events programs and meetings while managing vendor relationships and tracking expenses
  • Generate and maintain operational and data reports event attendance metrics student worker hours and other key performance indicators
  • Supervise and support student workers including hiring scheduling task delegation performance feedback and professional development
  • Manage inventory and supplies for the office including materials for programs promotional items and general office needs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities requests IT support and vendor coordination
  • Support the planning and execution of Career Center events and initiatives by handling logistical details and coordination
  • Serve as the main point of contact and support for Workday in the Career Center

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 years of working experience with at least 2-3 years of experience in operations office management or a similar administrative role
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new software systems
  • Experience managing budgets and tracking expenses
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop student or entry-level employees
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Four year degree
  • Experience in a higher education or career services environment
  • Familiarity with event planning and coordination
  • Data analysis and reporting experience
  • Customer service or hospitality background
