The Project Manager is responsible for managing the completion of the Steam
Power Services Upgrade projects completing within the time budget and cash targets whilst optimizing the margin for the company.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the execution of the Services Upgrades Project safely to the right quality within schedule and within budget.
- Implementation of the Project Execution Strategy for the scope of work allocated to deliver the project within the contract specification programme budget and cash targets.
- Management of the project team for the scope of work allocated.
- Co-ordination of all activities for the allocated scope including engineering procurement & logistics etc.
- Resolution of claims disputes and concessions to/from customers contractors and sub-suppliers for the allocated scope of work.
- Management of risks and opportunities associated to the allocated scope of work by the implementation of appropriate action plans with the aim of improving the project margin.
- Development and evolution of the overall project schedule (plan) for the allocated scope of work updating of the schedule to reflect progress and using the schedule to optimise work and resolve problems.
- Application of project specific procedures work instructions Project Quality Plans Environmental and Health and Safety plans.
- Application of the Steam Power Services Project management system to the Project.
- Developing and management of the relationship with the customer ensuring communication is clear and addressing issues effectively.
- Ensure adequate reporting of project progress (including financial) with clear identification of key issues which impact or may influence the project success.
- Closely coordinate with the GEV CSI projects representative and compliance team to ensure proper execution of the work.
- Work synergistically with the project site manager/ITR managers in term of execution manpower management and resource planning.
- Ensure execution of services/repairs contracts as per set agreements.
- Work closely with the Customers and ITR manager on their respective stations
- Drive the One Team approach with customers on all interfaces.
- Drive implementation of Lean Initiatives
- Ensure execution is performed in compliance with the country rules and regulations on all business aspects: EHS Quality Assurance taxes revenue recognition and other financial statutory requirements import-export past due Paid On Time & inventory etc.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering and or Business Management/ Project Management
- Minimum 5 years experience in the Project Environment in a leadership role
- Solid experience in Contracts management and customer handling skills
- Ability to keep the overview all service projects in execution to understand execution threats and implement mitigation actions
- Customer focus: good communication presentation interpersonal skill & proficiency in English
- Understanding of Services Upgrades/OTR Processes
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in Coal Power industry
- PMP Certification or other Project Management certifications
- Self-drive and ability to work under high pressure and time constraint.
- Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously and effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Experience working with NEC contracts
- Site Execution experience
- Strategic contractual thinking to mitigate any risk of margin deterioration and secure potential opportunities.
- Strong team motivator
