Your day to day as a Medical Billing- Cash Posting Specialist
HME Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cash Posting Specialist to enhance our Medical Billing this pivotal role you will be responsible for accurately posting payments reconciling accounts and ensuring that all payments are applied correctly and timely within our billing system. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail a solid understanding of medical billing processes and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Initially you will receive comprehensive on-site training before transitioning to a remote position. Key responsibilities include posting insurance and patient payments applying adjustments and denials per EOBs/ERAs reconciling daily deposits and resolving discrepancies in payments.
You will collaborate closely with our billing and collections teams maintaining compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations while ensuring precise record-keeping and documentation of all transactions. Join us to make a meaningful contribution in the medical supply industry!
Requirements for this Medical Billing- Cash Posting Specialist job
To excel as a Cash Posting Specialist at HME Specialists candidates must possess a robust set of skills and qualifications. A high school diploma or equivalent is required while an associate degree is preferred. Candidates should have 13 years of experience in medical billing or cash posting along with a solid understanding of EOBs ERAs and CPT/ICD codes.
Proficiency with billing software and electronic payment systems is essential as is the ability to perform accurate data entry with a high level of detail. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel is vital for managing and analyzing payment data effectively. Excellent organizational skills and adept problem-solving abilities will enable you to navigate discrepancies and streamline processes efficiently.
