RN Medical-Surgical Float

Contract

We are seeking a highly adaptable and experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to support multiple inpatient units including Medical-Surgical and Telemetry. This role requires flexibility strong clinical judgment and the ability to provide high-quality care across varying patient populations and acuity levels including overflow support in critical care and emergency settings.

• Provide direct patient care across multiple units including Medical-Surgical and Telemetry
• Float between assigned units as needed including support for patient overflow in ICU and Emergency Department settings
• Monitor and assess patients including those requiring cardiac telemetry
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records
• Adhere to all safety infection control and hospital policies

• Night shift 12-hour shifts
• 72 hours per two-week period
• Holiday coverage may be required

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Med-Surg and/or Telemetry nursing
• Experience caring for adult and pediatric patient populations preferred
• Previous float pool experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system (required)
• Strong adaptability and ability to work in fast-paced high-acuity environments

• BLS/BCLS required
• Additional certifications such as ACLS PALS NIHSS CPI TNCC ENPC STABLE and others may be required or preferred depending on assignment

• Must be flexible and comfortable floating across multiple units and departments
