ShopBack began in 2014 as a late-night spark of inspiration between Henry and Joel not just to build a Cashback platform but to reimagine how brands and consumers connect. As former advertisers they understood the limitations of traditional marketing and saw an opportunity to deliver more value on both sides. That idea quickly turned into action and the first prototype was built over a weekend with the other co-founders. Today ShopBack serves over 50 million users across 13 markets partners with 20000 merchants and powers over half a million transactions daily. Were looking for a talented freelance video editor who thrives in a remote flexible setup and loves turning ideas into engaging visual content.
If youre a digital nomad or freelancer who values autonomy this could be a great fit.
Project Scope:
- Edit a mix of long-form and short-form content (think YouTube Instagram TikTok)
- Create 5 to 20 videos with each assignment
- Collaborate with teams in Australia weekly
Work Setup:
- 2 to 3 days per week commitment
- Fully remote work from anywhere
- Flexible hours manage your schedule as long as deadlines are met
Project Duration:
- Initial 3-month engagement
- Potential to extend based on performance and fit
Were Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with content intended for Australia and New Zealand audiences as this project is to support content creation for Australia and New Zealand markets.
- Is comfortable editing across different formats and styles
- Can work independently and communicate clearly in a remote team
- Has a strong portfolio showcasing video editing motion/visual storytelling
Bonus Points If You:
- Have experience creating performance-driven content (ads social media)
- Are familiar with trends across TikTok Reels or YouTube Shorts
- Bring creative input not just execution
