QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university.
- Hold or be able to acquire an appropriate Nevada administrative license.
- Have previously demonstrated three (3) years of successful licensed teaching experience.
- Have previously demonstrated at least three (3) years of experience as a contracted site Principal in an accredited K-12 public or private school.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Recent experience with school accountability measures and data analysis leading to systemic school improvement planning.
Experience supporting federally designated schools and schools identified for improvement (CSI/TSI).

FUNDING & PROGRAM ALIGNMENT
This position is funded in whole or in part through Title I School Improvement (1003(a))
funds and is designed to support district and school-level efforts aligned to state and
federal school improvement priorities. The position will prioritize support to federally
designated schools and schools identified for Comprehensive or Targeted Support and
Improvement (CSI/TSI) while contributing to the development of coherent district-wide
accountability systems that sustain school improvement efforts.
JOB GOAL:
This position functions to provide information and strategies that are relevant and useful for evaluation and management of school improvement data to improve student outcomes with an emphasis on supporting federally designated schools and schools identified for improvement.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support and training regarding data analysis to administrators with priority support to federally designated schools and schools identified for improvement district wide to increase organizational knowledge and the ability for school and District leaders to interpret and utilize data in decision making.
- Provides direct technical assistance to federally designated schools and schools identified for Comprehensive or Targeted Support and Improvement (CSI;TSI) including root cause analysis progress monitoring and implementation of evidence-based strategies.
- Assist principals with the implementation monitoring and evaluation of School Performance Plans (SPPs) interim assessments and school-based formative assessments.
- Analyzes educational studies student data test results for the purpose of providing information and producing reports for site administrators on student progress as well as to state and federal agencies. Support mechanisms to provide accurate data in order to guide data-driven decision-making at the District and school level.
- Oversees the development and implementation of targeted improvement plans and facilitates the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to make conclusions and take timely action toward meeting annual goals
- Assesses distinct schools identified for improvement and/or scoring below state target levels for the purpose of coordinating appropriate district and state support
- Coordinates districts school performance plan (e.g. set criteria review process monitor implementation results) for the purpose of ensuring the plan is aligned with state and federal standards and meets the districts goals
- Supports the design implementation and evaluation of school improvement initiatives and related program components particularly those aligned to Title I and school improvement efforts ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal requirements for the purpose of ensuring programs are administered within the policies and procedures of the District and that services conform to established guidelines and regulations.
- Maintains data and records to provide reports to meet federal/state/District accountability requirements.
- Coordinates professional development activities with Administrators and NNRPDP for the purpose of improving student and school achievement as well as technical assistance for test administration and security and data analysis. Assists and provides instructional leadership to principals and other school administrators in raising student achievement and reducing the achievement gap.
- Maintains database (e.g. student information - historical and current) for the purpose of providing information to site administration to assist in assessing student progress and areas for improvement.
- Supervises accountability-related data collection verification and reporting; including graduation rates dropout data and state reporting requirements.
- Serves as liaison to Nevada Department of Education (NDE) regarding accountability reporting testing School Performance Framework designations and applicable federal requirements.
- Oversee implementation and use of the Nevada Educator Performance Framework to ensure the goals of fostering student learning and growth improving educators.
- Serves as Districts Test Director.
- Supports coordination of district and state assessment systems including test administration training and compliance with an emphasis on supporting schools identified for improvement.
- Attends Elko County School District Board of Trustees and other meetings as required.
- Maintains appropriate documentation of time and effort as required to support compliance with federal funding guidelines.
- Performs other duties as related to the position as assigned.
