Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee willassistthe Department in a variety of research and administrative tasks. The main duties include:
Research & History Project:Conducting archival research and data collection for the Departments historybookproject includinglocatinghistorical documents and coordinating with senior facultymembers;
Departmental Publications:Assistingin the editorial coordination of thedepartmentalwebsite and newsletter including soliciting updates from staff compiling content and proofreadingdrafts;
Event Support:Assistingin the logistical arrangements for departmental events conferences and public engagement activities (e.g. venue booking guest liaison and on-site support);
General Administration:Providing administrative support to the General Office including database management file organization and handling enquiries; and
Performing other duties as assignedby the Head of Department.
Requirements
Applicants shouldpossess:
ABachelorsdegree or above preferably in Geography Social Sciences or relateddisciplines;
An excellent command of written and spoken Chinese andEnglish;
High levelof digital competency including advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint). Experience with digital collaboration platforms and content creation tools for graphic design or social media management would be a distinctadvantage;
Good organizational and interpersonalskills;
A strong senseof responsibility and the ability to work independently; and
Attention to detail.

The appointment willcommenceas soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
