Job Summary

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies andorganisations operating in remote sites gold mines and coal fields. Weprovide vital workplace support for people working in some of the mostisolated terrains in the world from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold minesin the Australian Outback.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Head Chef to deliver exceptional quality and service to our residents at our accommodation in Terowie village Coppabella Central QLD.

Work 8 days on 6 days off 12 hour shifts

The Position

Qualified Head Chef to prepare buffet / bulk style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib lunch or Dinner and Desserts
Full responsibility for supervising training and coordinating staff
Overall accountability for a full area including ordering stock control financial accountability
Planning and controlling menu- based catering
Performance management
Adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures.
Ensure all catering controls are in place & wastage is kept to the minimum.
Offer guidance and supportto the kitchen team where needed to ensure a great experience for all residents.
Enhance workplace culture display high levels of customer service contribute ideas and be flexible to meet the needs of the business.

The Person

You will be a qualified Chef with a minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent
Bulk catering or buffet experienceis essential.
You will have the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and great time management is a must.
Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
Excellent knowledge of food safety and able to manage compliance.
Essential: Must have valid Manual Drivers Licence
