About the Role
The role of the Manager Operational Procurement own the supplier delivery performance delivery forecast coverage and initiatives to improve the overall efficiency and resiliency proactively for the responsible suppliers and category assuring a robust and resilient HARMAN supply chain capable of meeting the dynamic demands of an Automotive industry.
What You Will Do
- Asupplierfacingrolethat willproactivelydrivematerial commitmentgap closureswith suppliers (in the0104-weeksupplytime frame) and providetheoutlook for reviewmeetingsusinganalysisofglobal supply coverage from IBP.
- Willbe responsible fortheshort-termcoverage management based on allocations provided from Supply Planning team.
- Initiates negotiations foradditionalvolumes or production swaps with the supplierforshort- and long-termgap closure monitoring and reportingthesupply statusto key internal stakeholders.
- Responsible formore complexsupplier relationshipswith significant impact to HARMANs ability to delivercustomer product.
- WillconductmaterialEnd of Life (EOL)&New Product Introductions (NPI)status discussionswiththe larger moreimpactfuland challengingsuppliersand assurecoverage orresolve excess inventory risks informingprogram managementof recommendations.
- Owns the Delivery KPI in the Supplier Score card its content calculation and the relatedsupplier performance actionsto improve performance shortfalls.
- Provides delivery performanceinput/approvalforSource Boardsupplier award consideration.
- NegotiateFrozen Horizon Agreementwith suppliers:kick off discussions track downthe status discuss details with legaldepartment get final approvalfromleadership(ProcurementTribunal)andpublish the final agreement with the cross-functional team(OperationalProcurement) forimplementation.
- NegotiateConsignmentImplementation with suppliers: kick off discussions track down the status discussdetails with legal get final approval from leadership (Procurement Tribunal) and publish the final agreement withSupply Chain Management for implementation.
- ConductSupplyChainand LogisticsEvaluationwith selected suppliers:plan organize and alignwith the cross functional teamincluding Category Manager and SQE teamsto execute the evaluationand thefollow upof the corrective action.
- Activelyparticipateand prepare information and documentation for thesupplierQBR discussions in regards of the supply chain topics.
- MPAreview and provide feedback in connection withSupply Chain relevant agreements.
- Leadtask forcefor supply chain disruptions as needed.
- Lead orparticipateinprocess improvement projects.
- Support ramp down ramp up during an engineering changeand/or supply change.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelors or masters Degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferably in Business Management Supply Chain Management.
- 8 years of materials and/or supply chain management experience.
- Significant achievements in a global supply chain and/ or procurement role.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment including Sales Engineering Quality Program Management and Operations. Can lead a cross-functional team as required to solve complex problems.
- Proven experience in handling multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously and executing them to completion.
- Effective clear communicator is comfortable in multiple contexts including suppliers customers working meetings and Executive briefings.
- Large-scale negotiation skills and understanding of Procurement contracts.
- Having a proactive goal-oriented approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve dynamic issues with high complexity.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Excellent team player can effectively work with all levels of a global matrixed organization.
- Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience in the field of Automotive Manufacturing.
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma / Agile or other business process improvement methodology.
- SAP MM IBP knowledge.
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 20% domestic and international travel.
- Be willing to work in an office located in Mexico (Hybrid).
